Aggretsuko is a unique anime with many hidden subtleties in its main characters. Let’s learn more about Fenneko, Gori, and the rest of the characters!
Death metal music, funny and relatable life circumstances, and gorgeously drawn animals with human traits What more could you ask for in a cartoon? All of these elements are present in the comedic anime Aggretsuko. This anime follows Retsuko, a 25-year-old red panda with a bad job who vents her frustrations by singing death metal songs.
There is a lot to learn about the major characters, but because each episode is just approximately 15 minutes long, it might be difficult to keep up with every aspect. There are presently two seasons available on Netflix, and a third has been ordered. Here are ten hidden details about the main characters that everyone seemed to have overlooked before the third season premieres.
5. Tsunoda Is A Manipulator
Name from One Piece isn’t the only well-known anime character who manipulates others. Retsuko’s coworker Tsunoda is a master manipulator, albeit in a positive manner. Many of her coworkers dislike her, especially Fenneko, who dislikes her because she kisses up to Ton. Around him, she behaves erratically and as if she is an airhead. She also perpetuates the stereotype of the female worker by claiming that her task is too difficult and that she is only capable of getting her boss tea. However, we learn that she does so in order to make her life easier and avoid Ton’s harassment. Ton is being outwitted by her. After telling Retsuko that she kisses up to Ton to make her job life easier and that she doesn’t care if anyone dislikes her for it, she goes on to tell Retsuko that she kisses up to Ton to make her work life easier.
4.Ton Is A Product Of His Generation
Ton is Retsuko’s dreadful, sexist, and overbearing boss. Until he is reported to the company’s president, he treats everyone as low-leveled lifeforms. Ton is obliged to be kinder to his staff in episode seven of season one after the business president confronts him about his actions. Ton’s pleasant demeanor irritates the others. Everyone from work goes out for drinks throughout the episode, and this is when he tells Retsuko about how difficult it was for him when he was their age. Ton says that he had to toughen himself and get through how he was treated when he was her age and working.
3. Kabae Is Annoying But Caring
Kabae is the type of individual that everyone at work despises. She isn’t quite as irritating as Excalibur from Soul Eater, but she comes close. She spreads rumors and meddles in other people’s affairs. She’s also quite chatty and forceful.
Despite her numerous flaws, she is a compassionate individual. Kabae offered Retsuko part of her lunch one day when she didn’t have any. Even though it was fake, Kabae told Tsunoda about Retsuko quitting her job, but she only did so because she assumed the two were close friends. Tsunoda’s feelings were on her mind. She is also a mother of three children, and being caring is a characteristic of a moth
2. Haida Is Older Than What We Probably Think
Retsuko’s coworker Haida is another close friend. Retsuko has a crush on Haida, and Haida is always there for her. In episode four of season two, for example, he assisted her with an issue she was having with Anai, the new person she was supposed to train.
Retsuko is 25 years old, and Haida has stated that he has worked at their job for a few years longer than she has. As a result, it’s easy to deduce that he’s not the same age as her. He also has bags under his eyes, giving him an older appearance.
1. Retsuko Loves Beer
Retsuko goes out drinking in a lot of episodes. After work, she generally goes out to a restaurant with her coworkers to drink and sing karaoke. She appears to just drink one type of beverage, which is beer. There are empty beer cans all throughout her room.
Not only does Retsuko enjoy beer, but so do her coworkers. This appears to be the drink of preference for the major characters. Retsuko may have a dreadful job, but she knows how to have a good time.
